Roots

Hennessy VS. Wild Rabbit Project

Created as part of Hennessy V.S.'s Wild Rabbit initiative, Roots was designed in response to the brand's "Never Stop. Never Settle." philosophy. The program, developed in partnership with Pratt Institute, challenged a select group of graduate students to create original artwork inspired by the Wild Rabbit campaign. The final works were exhibited during Hennessy's Art Basel Miami activation in December 2016.

Roots was awarded First Place, selected by Hennessy executives and leading figures from the art world, including past Hennessy Limited Edition collaborators Nas, Shepard Fairey, Ryan McGinness, and Futura. The interactive installation explored the idea of personal origins and growth, reflecting the campaign's message through an immersive artistic experience.

With renowned artist Kadir Nelson.

Creation is a continuous act. Every day, our collective contributions shape and recreate the world around us, while transforming who we are in the process.
My Wild Rabbit is the relentless pursuit of curiosity—the force that connects us, inspires creation, and drives evolution.

This interactive installation is composed of a community of white paper flowers, each representing the potential for shared expression. Visitors are invited to pick a flower and leave their own painted mark or brushstroke on another, contributing to a living artwork that grows through participation. The installation encourages people to share their roots, exchange perspectives, and inspire one another.

The garden welcomes the curious, friends, loved ones, and even strangers whose paths briefly intersect, celebrating how individual stories come together to create an ever-evolving tapestry of color, texture, and human connection.
